Stainless Steel Vent plugs
Venting is accomplished by a labyrinth ! Flush water & dust proof according to IP44.
Stainless Steel AISI 316L (DIN 1.4404)
These devices are intended to prevent the build-up of pressure / vacuums within a closed system (for example gearbox, bearing housing, tanks etc.) which may arise due to the operation (heating, dynamic, change of the oil level). The breather helps maintain a constant atmospheric pressure in the
housing. At the same time, the „ventilated“ space is protected against the penetration of unwanted media (water, dust, etc.).
Our vent plugs are based on a modular system, allowing the product features to be adjusted according to your requirements. You can choose from a wide variety of mounting threads, materials and filter types.
The order number is the combination of the adjacent listed modular system. e.g. Type EA-G3-SS-K-1 is a vent plug with a 3/8″ BSP thread, made of Stainless Steel, a steel balls filter and an “OIL“ imprint on the cap.

Zinc Plated Steel Vent Plugs
Such vent plugs are used in oil reservoirs which must be ventilated. If the oil is agitated, e.g. by a gear running in an oil bath or sump, there is the risk that the oil will leak. A filter installed in the breathers (wire mesh or steel balls) prevents the oil from leaking without substantially disrupting the ventilation / breathing process (pressure compensation).
Dipsticks with oil level markings also available.
The filter can be left out if their function is no longer needed or if a higher air flow rate is desired.
Standard thread size 1/2“ BSP.
Other sizes and thread types available upon request.

Vent plug with O-rings
Our Vent Plugs with O-rings do not need a thread to be mounted. They are installed quickly and easy and are more economical to manufacture.
